MetricsWatch sample reports now pick up more brands
When you ask for a sample report with your work email, MetricsWatch reads your company's website and sends the sample in your brand: your logo, your colors and your agency's name. Until now, that only worked when the site's main color was easy to find. Plenty of agency sites keep their color somewhere else, and those got our standard sample instead.
What changed
- Your site's theme color. If your site sets a theme color for phones and browsers, and it is a real color rather than white or gray, the sample uses it.
- Your logo's own colors. If your logo is a PNG image, we read the colors in the logo itself and use them for the report's charts and colors.
- White logos stay readable. If your logo is white lettering on a transparent background, the report header turns dark so the logo shows up, instead of disappearing on white.
- Your agency's name. The sample arrives from your agency's name, read from your site, not from a placeholder.
When we still can't find your brand
Some sites block automated visitors, and some logos are JPEG or WebP images we don't read yet. In those cases you get our standard sample report, sent under your agency's name, or your web address when the site doesn't give one. A free email address (Gmail, Outlook and the like) has no company site behind it, so it gets the standard sample.
The numbers in a sample report are made up and the subject line says so. The layout is real: it is what your clients would receive.
