MetricsWatch report emails now come in 18 designs
Until now, unless you had a custom template, every MetricsWatch report email came in the same design, whoever the client was. Report emails can now use one of 18 new designs, picked per report, with a preview before you choose.
What changed
Open a report and go to its Settings tab. The design it uses sits at the top. Choose Browse designs and the designs open as cards, Classic included. Hovering over a card previews it, so you can compare a few before you commit. Click one to use it for that report.
Your widgets, branding, and data stay exactly as configured. A design changes how the email looks, not what is in it.
The 18 designs
North Star, Signal, Ledger, Aurora, Mono, Citrus, Deep Current, Terracotta, Ocean, Studio, Boardroom, Quartz, Newsroom, Pulse, Still, Blueprint, Night Shift, and Coral Bloom.
They range from restrained to loud. Mono and Still are minimal. Ledger and Newsroom are editorial. Boardroom and North Star are built for an executive reader. Signal is high contrast. Night Shift is dark. Citrus and Coral Bloom are bright and friendly. Blueprint is technical and precise.
Charts in the email pick up the colors of the design you chose, so a chart does not clash with the rest of the report.
One report, one client
If you send reports to several clients, they no longer have to look identical. A law firm and a surf shop can each get a report that looks like it was made for them, from the same account.
A default for your account
Your account can also have a default design. It is set in Business & brand settings, on the Visual settings tab (in the new MetricsWatch app, the Brand & design tab). New reports start on it. If you have not set a default, a new report starts on North Star.
A report you give its own design keeps it when you change the default. To move an existing report to another design, open its Settings tab and choose Browse designs.
What stays the same
Classic, the design reports have used until now, is still in the list, so a report you are happy with does not have to change.
To try one, open any report's Settings tab and choose Browse designs.
