MetricsWatch vs Geckoboard: Client Reports or Team Dashboards?
Geckoboard and MetricsWatch both take numbers out of tools like GA4, Search Console and Google Ads and put them in front of people on a schedule, so they end up on the same shortlists. They are built for different jobs. Geckoboard is a live dashboard tool for teams: you build dashboards that refresh on their own, show them on office TVs and phones, share them by link, and post snapshots of them to Slack, Microsoft Teams or email. MetricsWatch is a report sender for agencies: you connect a client's accounts, pick a report template, and it emails the finished report, in the body of the email, on a schedule.
This comparison is on the MetricsWatch blog, so read it knowing whose product we sell. Every Geckoboard fact below was checked against Geckoboard's own website, pricing page and help center on 1 November 2026.
The short version
Pick Geckoboard if you want live dashboards your own team watches all day: on a TV in the office, in a Slack channel, on a phone, with data from your CRM, support desk, phone system, spreadsheets and databases as well as marketing tools (Geckoboard lists more than 90 sources). It prices by account, with a set number of dashboards on each plan.
Pick MetricsWatch if what you deliver is a recurring client report on GA4, Search Console, ads, social and email, branded as your agency's, and you want it set up from a template and read in the client's inbox.
Setup: what you need to know before the first report goes out
Geckoboard's setup is building a dashboard. Its own words: "Most people build their first dashboard in a matter of minutes. Connect a data source through the guided setup, drag the metrics you care about onto your canvas, and it's live." It says no coding, analyst or training is needed, and it advises keeping a dashboard to around 15 metrics. The know-how it asks for is choosing those metrics and arranging the widgets, which for one team's dashboard is a short job.
MetricsWatch starts from a report template: connect GA4, Search Console, Google Ads or the client's other accounts, preview the report, add your own commentary, and set the schedule. The person setting it up needs to know which numbers the client cares about; the template lays out the report.
The cost that comes back with every new client
Setup is not a one-time cost for an agency. It resurfaces every time you sign a client.
In Geckoboard, a client is a dashboard: one built or duplicated for that client and pointed at that client's accounts. Geckoboard's custom dashboard templates, which create one dashboard per agent, team or brand and keep their widgets in sync, are available for Aircall, HubSpot and Zendesk data, according to its help center, so they do not cover a client's GA4 or ad accounts. If the client wants last month's figures rather than a live view, Geckoboard's help center describes duplicating the dashboard, setting each widget to the Last Month period, and scheduling a snapshot for the first day of the month. Each dashboard counts toward your plan's dashboard allowance.
In MetricsWatch, a new client means a new report, built from a template and pointed at that client's accounts. Plans are sized by report count (2, 25 or 100), and adding a report inside your plan costs nothing extra.
Running without babysitting
Geckoboard dashboards refresh automatically; Geckoboard says most metrics update instantly or within minutes. To send numbers out, you schedule snapshots: a snapshot is a screenshot of a dashboard, delivered by email, Slack or Microsoft Teams. Geckoboard says email snapshots can go to addresses outside your organization, including clients, and that recipients do not need a Geckoboard account. Snapshots can go daily, Monday to Friday, monthly (on the 1st or the first Monday) or on chosen days, at a time you pick by the hour, and several times a day if you want. When someone is added to email snapshots for the first time, they receive an invitation from Geckoboard and must accept and confirm it before snapshot emails arrive.
MetricsWatch sends daily, weekly or monthly, with the full report in the email body, so the client reads it without logging in anywhere or opening a file. If you also want a link or a PDF, you can turn on a shareable report URL with an optional password, and the client can open the report in a browser or download it as a PDF. You can preview a report before it goes to the client.
Ready to streamline your reporting?
MetricsWatch pulls twelve sources into one white-label report, delivered on your schedule: Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, Google Sheets, Microsoft Advertising, Facebook Ads, Facebook Pages, Instagram, LinkedIn Ads, LinkedIn Pages, and Mailchimp. Branding
Geckoboard lets you upload a logo, which appears in the footer of the dashboard, and change the dashboard's colours. Custom themes and a custom logo are included on its Performance plan and cost extra on Essentials. Asked on its pricing page whether Geckoboard can be white-labelled, Geckoboard answers: "We don't currently support this."
MetricsWatch includes white-label branding on every plan: your logo and colours, and a logo per client report. MetricsWatch does not offer a custom domain, and reports are sent from our default sending address.

Where Geckoboard goes further
- Live dashboards that refresh on their own, built for office TVs (with screen pairing and rotating loops), phones and browsers.
- More than 90 data sources, reaching well beyond marketing: CRMs, support desks, phone systems, ecommerce, databases, spreadsheets and an API.
- Snapshots to Slack and Microsoft Teams channels as well as email, sent as often as several times a day.
- On its Performance plan: Slack and Teams alerts when a metric crosses a threshold, drilldown into the records behind a number, and per-agent or per-team dashboard templates for Aircall, HubSpot and Zendesk.
- A Metrics MCP server for working with your dashboard metrics in AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT.
Where MetricsWatch goes further
- The full report goes in the body of the client's email. Geckoboard's email snapshot is a screenshot of a dashboard.
- White-label branding on every plan. Geckoboard's pricing page says it does not currently support white-labelling, and its custom logo and themes cost extra on its entry plan.
- Built around the client report: plans are sized by report count, so a new client is a new report from a template rather than a new dashboard to build and pay for.
- PDF download of a report. Geckoboard's help center says downloading a dashboard as a PDF is not supported and suggests browser extensions instead.
Pricing, side by side
Geckoboard prices by account. On its pricing page, Essentials is from $79 per month billed annually, or $99 per month billed monthly, for 2 dashboards, 1 editor, 1 screen and unlimited viewers. Extra dashboards are $24 each per month on annual billing ($30 each on monthly billing). The custom logo and advanced themes are $40 extra per month on annual billing ($50 on monthly billing) on Essentials. Performance is from $319 per month billed annually, or $399 per month billed monthly, for 20 dashboards, 3 editors and 5 screens, and adds alerts, drilldown, custom templates and custom themes. Enterprise is priced on request. Geckoboard says some integrations (Aircall, Shopify and Zendesk Support) have data volume limits and may need an add-on.
MetricsWatch prices by report. It is $49 per month for 2 reports (Startup), $149 per month for 25 reports (Pro) and $399 per month for 100 reports (Agency), billed monthly; annual billing is 10 times the monthly price. White-label is on every plan.
The two prices do not buy the same thing: Geckoboard's include live team dashboards, TV screens and, on Performance, alerts, which MetricsWatch does not offer. For an agency with one dashboard or report per client, on monthly billing: at 2 clients, Geckoboard Essentials is $99 per month ($149 with the custom logo and themes) and MetricsWatch Startup is $49. At 20 clients, Geckoboard Performance is $399 per month and MetricsWatch Pro, which covers up to 25 reports, is $149.
Common questions
Is there a free option? Geckoboard offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card. MetricsWatch has a 14-day trial with no credit card.
Can my client see the numbers without logging in? Yes, with both. Geckoboard's sharing links need no login, and its email snapshots go to people without a Geckoboard account once they accept the invitation. MetricsWatch puts the report in the email body, with an optional shareable link and PDF.
Can I put my agency's brand on it? MetricsWatch includes white-label branding on every plan, without a custom domain. Geckoboard lets you add a logo and colours to a dashboard and says it does not currently support white-labelling.
Who is behind MetricsWatch? A small company, deliberately. It has been reporting on marketing data since 2015, and support emails are answered by the people who can fix things.
