Best Tools to Email Scheduled GA4 Reports to Clients
The best tools to email scheduled GA4 reports to clients are Data Studio (formerly Looker Studio), which sends a free PDF schedule, and a client reporting tool such as MetricsWatch Reports, AgencyAnalytics, DashThis or Swydo once you report to more than a couple of clients. GA4's own Schedule Email is free too, but it only sends to people who already have access to the GA4 property, as a PDF or CSV attachment, so it suits your own team better than your clients.
Every price and limit on this page was checked against each vendor's own pricing page or help documentation on 30 October 2026. Prices are per month in US dollars unless a vendor only lists euros.
This guide is on the MetricsWatch blog, and MetricsWatch sells scheduled email reports. Each tool below is described from its own documentation, and the table shows where each one fits.
The short list
| Tool | What your client receives | Who can receive it | Price |

| MetricsWatch Reports | The full report in the email body; a PDF if you want one | Any email address you add | $49 per account per month for 2 reports, billed monthly |

GA4 Schedule Email: free, for your own team
In GA4, open a report, click Share this report, then Schedule Email. You can send it every day, week, month or quarter, as a PDF or CSV attachment, to up to 50 recipients.
Three limits decide whether it works for clients. Only administrators can schedule a report. Recipients must be users with access to the property, and anyone removed from the property is removed from the list. A schedule stays active for 1 to 12 months, then expires and stops sending until someone sets a new end date in Admin. The subject line is always "GA4 Scheduled Email:" followed by the report name.
Google's help page also notes that GA4 can take up to 72 hours to process events, so a monthly report sent on the 1st can miss the last days of the previous month. Google suggests sending on the 4th.
Data Studio: free PDFs on a schedule
Open the report, click Share, then Schedule delivery, add up to 50 recipients and choose how often it repeats. Your client gets the report as a PDF attachment, a preview of up to five pages in the email, and a link to the live report.
The free version allows one schedule per report, sent at most once a day. A report that goes to two clients on different days needs a copy for each, or Data Studio Pro at $9 per user per project per month, which allows up to 200 schedules per report. Our step-by-step guide covers the rest: how to schedule a Looker Studio report by email.
Ready to streamline your reporting?
MetricsWatch pulls twelve sources into one white-label report, delivered on your schedule: Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, Google Sheets, Microsoft Advertising, Facebook Ads, Facebook Pages, Instagram, LinkedIn Ads, LinkedIn Pages, and Mailchimp. Starts at $49/month. 14-day free trial, no credit card required.
Client reporting tools: one schedule per client, set once
The free options cost nothing to start and more to keep running. Every new client means another report to build, another schedule to set, and another login or permission that the schedule depends on. A client reporting tool is built so that the second, tenth and twenty-fifth client take the same few minutes as the first.
MetricsWatch Reports connects GA4, Search Console, Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Mailchimp and more. You build a report once and schedule it, and the full report arrives in the body of the email, so your client reads the numbers without opening an attachment or logging in. You can preview each send and add a note before it goes out, export a PDF, or share a client dashboard. White-label branding is included on every plan.
AgencyAnalytics includes report scheduling, report approvals, a white-labeled client portal and 90+ integrations on its core plan. Scheduled reports go out as a link to the web report; its help center says it does not send automated reports as PDF attachments, and clients can download a PDF from the report.
DashThis calls each report a dashboard and prices by how many you need. Its automated email dispatch sends an email including the updated dashboard to the recipients you choose, on a schedule, and dashboards can also be shared by URL or exported as PDF.
Swydo has one plan with every feature, priced by data source rather than by client: every account you connect counts as one source. It includes scheduled report emails with branded email templates, branded PDF exports and client portals.
Reports tell clients what happened. Alerts tell you when it happens.
A monthly report arrives after the month is over. If conversions drop on the 12th, a schedule will not tell you. MetricsWatch Alerts monitors your clients' GA4 properties and sends an email or Slack alert when a metric moves past a threshold you set, so you can look into it before the report goes out. AgencyAnalytics includes goals, alerts and anomaly detection on its core plan, and Swydo includes goal tracking with email and Slack alerts.

MetricsWatch Reports counts a report as one set of data sources sent to one set of recipients, so a weekly report to one client is one report. MetricsWatch Alerts starts at $79 a month for 3 alerts. MetricsWatch, AgencyAnalytics and Swydo each offer a 14-day free trial with no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Can GA4 email a report to a client automatically?
Only if the client is a user on the GA4 property. GA4's Schedule Email sends to people with access to the property, as a PDF or CSV attachment, and only administrators can set it up.
Why did my scheduled GA4 report stop sending?
Usually because the schedule reached its end date. A GA4 schedule is active for 1 to 12 months, 12 by default, and then expires. It also stops if no valid recipient is left, for example after users are removed from the property.
What is the cheapest way to email GA4 reports to clients?
Data Studio is free for one schedule per report, sent as a PDF. Among paid tools, MetricsWatch Reports starts at $49 a month for 2 reports, AgencyAnalytics at $20 per client per month billed annually, and DashThis at $44 a month billed yearly for 3 dashboards.
Can a client read a GA4 report without opening a PDF or logging in?
Yes, with a tool that puts the report in the email body. MetricsWatch Reports sends the full report in the email itself. GA4 and Data Studio attach a PDF, and AgencyAnalytics sends a link to the web report.
What day should a monthly GA4 report go out?
Google suggests the 4th of the month, because GA4 can take up to 72 hours to process events and a report sent on the 1st may miss the last days of the previous month.
How do I get an email when GA4 traffic or conversions drop?
Use an alerting tool rather than a schedule. MetricsWatch Alerts monitors GA4 properties and sends an email or Slack alert when a metric crosses a threshold you set.
